Obituary

Willona Dell Park, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and faithful servant of the Lord, passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on April 25, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 92.

Willona was born on July 20, 1933, in Dumont, Texas, to Earl Boyd Flippin and Gladys Estelle Smith Flippin. She was raised with strong values of faith, family, and perseverance—qualities shaped in part by her early years working in the cotton fields—and these principles guided her throughout her life, leaving a lasting legacy for generations to come.

Her faith was a cornerstone of her life from a young age. She grew up in the church and remained deeply devoted throughout her life, even serving as a Sunday school teacher and sharing her love for the Lord with others.

Willona met the love of her life, Donald Earl Park, in San Angelo, Texas, while he was serving in the United States Air Force. They were married in March of 1951, beginning a lifelong partnership rooted in enduring love, commitment, and unwavering faith. Donald preceded her in death on September 12, 2007.

She leaves behind her loving children: Donna (Vic) Stellway, Rita (Craig) McKnight, and Tina (Gary) Lloyd, who will forever cherish her wisdom, warmth, and guidance. Her legacy continues through her many grandchildren: Bram (Misty), Cory (Shannon), Janeye (Clay), Jathan (Samantha), Travis (Susan), Trisha (Arlen), Grant (Madison), Kelsey, Mitchell (Kristy), Morgan (Eugene), and Tommy.

Willona’s joy multiplied through her great-grandchildren: Parker (Paige), Derek, Macaela, Jordan, Gabriel, Caleb, Camden, Kenzie, Landon, Madyson Zoe (who preceded her in death), Bryce, Callie, Kinsley, Gunner, Maya, Cheyenne, Maximus, Ava, and Bridget; and further still through her great-great-grandchildren: Grayson, Bentley, and one precious new life soon to arrive.

She is also survived by her siblings Boydine Jamison and Wayne Flippin; and was preceded in death by her sisters Melba Cunningham and Sadie Martin, and her brother Robert Flippin. She shared a special bond with her cousin, Claude Adams, who was more like a brother to her.

Willona found joy in the simple, beautiful things in life. She loved tending to her yard and garden, and it showed in the natural beauty she created around her home. She treasured family gatherings and always believed “the more, the merrier,” welcoming everyone with open arms and a loving heart. She was also a proud member of the Dallas Model A Ford Club, where she enjoyed fellowship, history, and community.

Above all, Willona will be remembered for her loving spirit, her steadfast faith, and the way she made everyone feel seen, valued, and deeply cherished. Her life was a living testimony to God’s goodness, and though she will be profoundly missed, her family finds peace in knowing she is rejoicing in Heaven.

Her memory will forever be a blessing, and her love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made in Willona’s honor to VITAS Hospice of Fort Worth, Mission Arlington (Donate Here - LINK) , or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. (Donate Here - LINK)
