William H. Emmons, lovingly known as William (never Bill), Dad, and Papa, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025, surrounded by his beloved family.

Born in Fort Worth, Texas, on August 5, 1949, to Billie and Janet Emmons, William grew up in the heart of Texas with a strong work ethic and a deep love for his home state. He began working in the grocery business early in life, not knowing it would evolve into a rewarding career that would span over four decades and take him across the country. Throughout his years with Albertsons, William was both mentored and a mentor, forming lasting friendships that endured long after retirement.

A proud Texan through and through, William had a passion for golf, travel, and his Dallas Cowboys. He appreciated a fine cigar and a good glass of wine, enjoying life's simple luxuries and the remarkable experiences they brought. From beautiful golf courses to international adventures, he embraced the world with enthusiasm.

Above all else, William treasured his family. The deep roots he helped plant and nurture became the strong, loving foundation of a close-knit family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy, and their five children: Aaron (Kristin), Kristin, Eric (Lacie), Brandon, and Dustin (Anneka). He also leaves behind five grandchildren—Gavon, Austin, Connor, Morgan, and Landry—who brought endless joy to his life.

William is also survived by his brothers, Pat (Laura) and James (Susie); his mother-in-law, Gloria Brown; brother-in-law, Jeff Brown; sister-in-law, Carol Roberts, and many cherished nieces and nephews.

William will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and zest for life. We imagine him now on the most beautiful course imaginable, playing his best round yet—bogey-free.

A memorial service will be held on August 1, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1200 W. Green Oaks Blvd, Arlington, Texas. A celebration of life will follow at Aristide Mansfield, 570 N. Walnut Creek Drive, Mansfield, Texas 76063.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in William’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
