Wesley Joseph "Wes" Baker

Wesley Joseph "Wes" Baker, age 41, passed peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus on September 24, 2025, while under hospice care.

Born on June 9, 1984, in Arlington, Texas, Wes was the cherished son of Shirley and Rickey Baker. From the very beginning, Wes was the light of his mother’s life — a bond that remained unshakable throughout his days.

A graduate of Arlington High School, Wes had a brilliant mind and a natural talent for technology. He worked for many years in administration at RainSoft, and also spent time employed by Lowe’s and the FBI. Whatever he put his mind to, he excelled at with quiet confidence and determination.

Wes had a deep love for music and an even deeper love for his family and friends. Known for his kind heart, Wes was always ready to help others without hesitation. His warm smile could light up any room, and his gentle spirit left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He had a sharp wit and a great sense of humor that made him a joy to be around.

One of Wes’s favorite T-shirts read, "Treat people with kindness", and he truly lived by those words. He loved the Lord with all his heart and carried that faith into the way he loved others — generously, sincerely, and unconditionally.

He especially adored his nieces and nephews and proudly held the title of "fun uncle." His presence in their lives was full of laughter, games, and unwavering support.

Wes is survived by his loving parents, Shirley and Rickey; his brother, Brandon; nieces Holly and Elle; nephews Noah and Ethan; and a host of beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and great-grandparents, with whom he shared a very special bond.

Services will be private. Friends and family are invited to reach out directly for service details.

In honor of Wes’s generous spirit and love for his community, memorial contributions may be made to Mission Arlington, a cause close to his heart.
