PLEASANTON -- Virginia Juanita Putman passed from this life home to Jesus on Thursday, July 25, 2013, at her daughter's home, near San Antonio. Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Arlington Baptist Temple, 3434 S. Collins, Arlington, with Pastor Russell Williams officiating. Interment: 2 p.m. in Dawson Cemetery, Navarro County. Virginia was born on Sept. 22, 1940, in Brushy Prairie. She attended Frost High School in Frost. A longtime resident of Arlington, she was a homemaker and building maintenance tech for Miller Business Systems for 20 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Buel Lee Putman; daughter, Sybil Putman; mother, Virginia Vaughn Hollifield; father, Lloyd Hollifield; brother, Robert Hollifield; brother, Harold Hollifield; sister, Judy Morton. Survivors: Daughter, Loretta Putman Turner and son-in-law, George Turner; son, Michael Lee Putman; grandchildren, Nanette Irvin, Kathleen Turner, Reuben Turner, Dorothy Turner, Dylan Putman and Ashley Putman.
