With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Vera Ellen Taylor, a beloved mother and homemaker. Born on October 23, 1933, in Brazito, NM, Vera peacefully departed this world surrounded by loved ones on April 5, 2024, in Arlington, TX at the age of 90.
Vera’s life was devoted to her family, and she was a shining example of love and compassion.
Vera is preceded in death by her husband Loyd Douthitt, who died in 1977, husband Charles Taylor, who died in 2010, daughter Rhonda Douthitt, who died in 2022, grandchildren Kaylom Hancock, Robert Neville, and Christopher Douthitt.
She is survived by her son Dewayne Douthitt and wife Debbie, and daughters, Janelle Ardoin, Cathey Hill, Charlotte Cotter, Debra Hancock and 12 grandkids, 11 great grandkids, 5 great-great grandkids.
A Graveside Service to honor Vera’s life will be held at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery on April 23, 2024, at 1:30 pm. The Funeral Service will take place at Wade Chapel on April 22, 2024, at 2:00 pm, with a Visitation scheduled on April 21, 2024, at 4:00 pm.
As we gather to bid farewell to Vera, let us remember her kind spirit and the love she shared with all who knew her. May her soul find eternal peace and may her memories continue to live on in our hearts forever. Rest in peace, Vera Ellen Taylor.
