Timothy Brent Perkins, 53, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 in Arlington.
Memorial Service: 3 p.m. Saturday, July 1, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. A reception will follow immediately after the service in Belle Hall.
Tim was born on May 27, 1970 in Dallas, Texas to Jerry Boone Perkins and Karen Sue Hilliard Perkins. A lifelong Arlington resident, he graduated from Martin High School in 1989. Tim worked as a taxidermist for the past 22 years for Alpine. He was an outdoorsman and spent many hours at the Perkins farm. He was a hard worker and loved to help others. Tim taught his nephews the love of hunting and skinning deer. He loved his hunting dogs.
He called on Jesus to be his Lord and Savior at the age of ten. He was a member of Fielder Road Church. Tim was proud to be a native Texan. He was very patriotic and a true patriot.
Tim was one of a kind and never met a stranger. He was honest, forthright, loyal and a truth seeker. He cared about others and always had a place in his heart for the underdog. Tim did not sugarcoat anything. He had a very distinct voice. He was very humorous and could make anyone laugh.
Tim enjoyed listening to all genres of music but especially country music, 80’s Rock Metallica, Pink Floyd and Kiss.
When Tim loved you, he loved you deeply. He loved his family and always tried to make them feel special. He would attend every special event of his family. He was always present and dearly loved his nieces and nephews.
Tim was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Boone Perkins.
Survivors: Mother, Karen Perkins, Brother Troy Perkins, Troy’s wife Heather Perkins, and nieces & nephews Casey Perkins, Emmilea Short, Mason Perkins, Trent Perkins & Travis Perkins.
