Thomas Robert Quinn, beloved son, brother, and uncle, passed away on November 26, 2025, at the age of 63 in Richardson, Texas. Born on April 18, 1962, in New Rochelle, New York, Tommy was the cherished son of Thomas Arthur and Mary Elizabeth Quinn, and a bright light in the lives of all who knew him.
A dedicated and talented engineer, Tommy earned his bachelor’s degree at DeVry University and built a career defined by expertise, ingenuity, and an unwavering commitment to his craft. His passion for problem-solving was matched only by his generosity of spirit. To his colleagues, he was a trusted mind; to his family and friends, he was a steady source of kindness, humor, and loyalty.
Tommy had a deep love for the things that brought joy and rhythm to his life. He was an avid music enthusiast with a memorable collection of vinyl records and stereos. Nothing made him happier than immersing himself in the songs he treasured, especially the work of Van Morrison, whose music was the soundtrack of his heart. Tommy dearly loved his Van Crew, an international community of fellow fans who shared that passion with him.
His interests extended well beyond music: Tommy treasured his 1967 Mustang, found delight in the world of trains, and remained a proud lifelong fan of the New York Yankees. These simple joys reflected the warmth and wonder with which he approached the world.
Tommy leaves behind his sister, Maureen Jander; his brother, Chris Quinn; Nieces and Nephews; Nicole Bundy, Brendan Harvey, Jessica Bartko, Shane Quinn and a large circle of family and friends whose lives he touched with his gentle presence and infectious laughter. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Mary and his sister Mary Beth. His absence leaves a profound emptiness, but his memory continues to shine brightly in the hearts of those who loved him.
A memorial service to celebrate Tommy’s life and legacy will be held on January 3, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Wade Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, Texas 76013. All who knew and loved him are invited to gather, share memories, and honor the remarkable life of a truly special man.
In this time of sorrow, may we find comfort in the love Tommy shared, the music he adored, and the countless ways he inspired those around him. May he rest in eternal peace.
“We were born before the wind
Also younger than the sun
And the bonnie boat was one as we sailed into the mystic
Hark, now hear the sailors cry
Smell the sea and feel the sky
Let your soul and spirit fly into the mystic.”
