Teresa "Terry" Davila Gomez, 56, was born on October 4, 1969, in Alice, Texas, and passed away on May 3, 2026, in Arlington, Texas.

Terry was outgoing, full of life, and always knew how to have a good time. She was truly the life of the party and loved to dance every chance she had. Her favorite color was anything bright, which fit her personality perfectly. She brought energy, laughter, and joy wherever she went.

Terry met the love of her life, Freddie, when she was just 16 years old. Together, they shared 40 years of love, memories, and family. She was a devoted wife, a good mother, and a loving grandmother. Her family meant everything to her, and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Some of Terry's happiest moments were spent surrounded by family at cookouts, holidays, birthdays, and special gatherings. Thanksgiving, Christmas, and family celebrations will always hold special memories for those who loved her. She enjoyed cooking for her family and was known for making the best beef enchiladas and Strawberry cake with whipped cream frosting.

Terry enjoyed all types of music, including country, rock, and Tejano. She also never hesitated to let people know that she was not a Dallas Cowboys fan, which became one of the many things her family will smile about when remembering her.

Terry worked as a leasing agent for apartment complexes and later became a homemaker, where she continued caring for and loving her family in the way only she could.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jose Davila, her brother, Tony Davila, her sister Margie Martinez, and her son, Ignacio Ruben Gomez.

Terry is survived by her mother, Maria Davila; her husband, Freddie M. Gomez Sr.; her son, Freddie Gomez Jr.; her daughters, Melinda Gomez and Emythsti Gomez; and her grandchildren, Savannah, Emily, Azenette, Freddie III, Emmanuel, Elliott, Elianna, Evelyn, Isaiah, and Ignacio.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Wade Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Wade Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at Moore Memorial Gardens at 1:00 p.m.
