Susan Melea Wright Arlin, beloved wife, sister, cousin, educator, and faithful friend, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 69. She was born on October 20, 1956, in Meridian, Texas, to William A. Wright and Georgia Laverne Crain Wright.
Susan lived a life marked by love, kindness, faith, and devotion to those around her. Her gentle spirit and caring heart touched the lives of many, and she will be remembered for the warmth she brought into every room and the love she freely gave to her family and friends.
Susan was blessed to share more than 20 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Patrick T. Arlin. Their life together was a beautiful testament to companionship, commitment, and enduring love. She also leaves behind her brother, William A. Wright Jr. and his wife, Carolyn Turner, along with her cherished cousins, Toma Dean and Jerry Davis, Royce Turney, Shana and Patrick McKinley, Courtney and John Walborn, Kendal McKinley, Konlan and Taylor McKinley, Jordyn Walborn, and Cason Walborn.
Susan was passionate about education and dedicated herself to helping children learn and grow. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Stephen F. Austin State University. Her love for children and learning was a meaningful part of the legacy she leaves behind.
Above all, Susan loved the Lord and placed her faith in Jesus Christ. Her life reflected the grace, compassion, and love that come from walking with God. Though her family and friends deeply mourn her passing, they find comfort in knowing that Susan is now resting in the presence of her Savior. Her earthly journey has ended, but her eternal life has begun.
Susan will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. The beautiful memories she created, the lives she touched, and the love she shared will remain in the hearts of those who knew her. We hold close the promise of Scripture that those who believe in Christ will one day be reunited with Him and with those they love.
Until we meet again, may Susan rest peacefully in the loving arms of Jesus.
