Sue Ann McNamara

Arlington, TX – Sue McNamara, 84, Passed from this life on August 25, 2025 at the Hospice Center at Community Healthcare of Texas at Huguley in Burleson, TX following a brief illness. She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on August 19, 1941 to Wallace & Rhondda Courtaway. Sue had a younger sister, Mary. After graduating high school, she attended Northeastern State University in Oklahoma before beginning her career at Shell Oil Company. After moving to Arlington in 1974, she worked at the Arlington Bank Of Commerce, and as an office manager for several dentists.

On June 9, 1967 Sue married Reggie and they celebrated 58 years of marriage this past June. Sue was predeceased by her parents Wallace and Rhondda Courtaway, her sister Mary Courtaway Delahoussaye and her grand-daughter Stephanie McNamara Kent.

Sue is survived by husband Reggie McNamara of Arlington, her sons Brian McNamara (Pam) of Yulee, FL and Shawn McNamara of Arlington, TX, her grand-daughter, Nicole Locke and four great grandchildren, Alivia McNamara, Kirsten Wallace, Zaden Kent & Grayson Kent, a nephew Matt Delahoussaye (Shelly) and her niece Monica Wofford.

Sue enjoyed her hobbies. She was an accomplished artist in China painting and was a member of the Fort Worth Porcelain Art Club, along with painting with her friends. In recent years, she enjoyed playing Bridge and Canasta with her dear friends at the Scotswood Garden Club as well as the Ridglea Country Club.
