In Loving Memory of Stanley Lewis Jackson “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” – Matthew 5:8
It is with heartfelt sorrow and unwavering faith in God’s promises that we announce the homegoing of our beloved Stanley Lewis Jackson, who departed this life peacefully on June 4, 2025, in Arlington, Texas, at the age of 73.
Stanley was born on December 26, 1951, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to the late John Lewis Jackson and Eleanor Louise Jackson. He was one of three sons and is lovingly remembered by his brothers, Michael Jackson and Charles Jackson.
A proud graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, Stanley carried a strong work ethic and a joyful spirit into every season of his life. He bravely served his country in the United States Army, earning both the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal for his honorable service. Stanley’s years in the military ignited a passion for traveling the world—a love he carried with him throughout his life.
Following his military service, Stanley served his community with dedication as a postal worker with the United States Postal Service, where he worked faithfully for many years. Known affectionately as “Action Jackson,” he was full of life, charm, and always quick with a smile and a good story. His nickname reflected both his vibrant personality and his legendary charm, as he was well-loved by many.
Stanley was a devoted father to his daughter Angela Gatson (Thomas Gatson) and son Andra Jackson (Skye Jackson). His legacy lives on through his ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, who will continue to honor his memory with love and pride. He was a loving, supportive, and present father and grandfather—always willing to share his wisdom, laughter, and love.
Above all, Stanley was a man of deep love—for his family, his country, and his God. His presence brought light and warmth to all who knew him, and his absence leaves a space only the Lord can fill. He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his commitment to his loved ones, and the joy he brought into every room.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Wade Chapel. A graveside service with military honors will follow on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 9:00 AM at the DFW National Cemetery, where Stanley will be laid to rest among fellow heroes.
Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice in knowing Stanley has entered into the arms of our Savior, where there is no more pain, no more sorrow—only peace and eternal joy.
