Stacy Lynn Zamarripa passed away peacefully on June 2, 2025 at the age of 59. Stacy was a beloved and cherished mother, wife, and daughter. She was born in Grand prairie, Texas on August 26th, 1965 to parents Ann and the late Jerry Doty.
Stacy spread her positive spirit among many throughout her lifetime, she participated in cheerleading and drill team during her time at Grand Prairie High School before graduating in 1983. Stacy continued her education at the University of Texas at Arlington, becoming a part of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority and graduating in 1989. She was deeply connected to the spirit of God throughout her involvement at Saint Maria Goretti Catholic Church and Most Blessed Sacrament in Arlington, Texas.
Stacy accomplished her lifelong dreams of becoming a loving mother and wonderful teacher to many. She shared her never-ending compassion and warmth while dedicating her life to raising her two daughters who will continue to spread her love and light in her honor. She shared her love of reading and gifts within English arts with her family and used her talents to transition into full time teaching while also raising a loving home. While following her passion for teaching and sharing her love for reading and education, Stacy pursued her masters degree at Texas Woman's University, graduating in 2023. She was deeply committed to her calling and obtained the skills and credentials to serve as a reading specialist for dyslexic students within the Arlington school system.
Stacy is preceded in death by her father Jerry Lynn Doty, grandparents: Lorriane and JV Doty, LE and Ruby Ford, In laws Humberto Zamarripa Sr. and Carmen G. Zamarripa.
She leaves behind a legacy of compassion and light that touched all those who knew her. She is survived by her husband Humberto Zamarripa Jr., mother Ann Doty Ewbank and husband Ed, sister Tracy Doty, daughters Emma Zamarripa, Sara Kough and husband Andrew, and her two cats Nala and Minnie Dot.
She is also survived by extended family: Carmen Z. Yebra, Eva Zamarripa, Lynda Doty, Maria Z. Neeley, Rosalba Z. Valles, and Zoraida Zamarripa.
Stacy lived by love, spreading light and hope to all those who surrounded her and no doubt brightened the world with her spirit. Her memory will continue to light the hearts of all those who were lucky enough to cross her path during her time on earth.
