IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Shawn Michael
Armstrong
April 8, 1980 – December 8, 2025
Shawn Michael Armstrong, age 45, entered into eternal rest on December 8, 2025, in Arlington, Texas. He was born on April 8, 1980, in Toledo, Ohio, and from his earliest days carried a steady kindness, a gentle discipline, and a quiet devotion that would shape every chapter of his life.
Shawn was a loving and devoted father to his greatest earthly blessings, his daughters, Taylor Armstrong, and Macey Armstrong. Everything he did was rooted in his desire to guide, protect, and celebrate them. He found immense joy in being a grandfather to Rhett Spence, whose life brought him renewed laughter and purpose. Shawn also embraced his role as godfather to Grayson Burgess and Reagan Southall, offering them faith-filled guidance, encouragement, and unwavering support.
A devout Catholic, Shawn lived his faith not loudly, but faithfully—through service, integrity, and love for others. His life reflected his belief in God’s grace, the importance of family, and the value of doing all things with care and intention. He trusted deeply in the promise of eternal life and now rests in the peace of God’s loving embrace.
Shawn was a proud graduate of Grace Prep Academy and spent many dedicated years working for PepsiCo, where he was known for his reliability, strong work ethic, and attention to detail. That same sense of order and pride extended into every part of his life—he was organized, neat, and took quiet satisfaction in doing things well.
Known affectionately as an undefeated YMCA coach, Shawn led with patience, humor, and encouragement, leaving behind not only wins, but lasting impressions on those he coached. He was also a loyal fan of Duke University basketball, never missing a chance to cheer on the Blue Devils and share in the excitement of the game.
At home, he was a master in the kitchen—an exceptional cook and true artist. His meals were crafted with care, beautifully plated, and always shared generously. Whether grilling outdoors or preparing a home-cooked favorite, he expressed love through food.
Shawn found peace in the simple joys of life. He loved being outside, tending to his garden, caring for his flowers, and creating beauty wherever he was. Music brought him happiness, and some of his most cherished memories were attending concerts with his girls. Though he might have smiled sheepishly about it, he proudly held a guilty pleasure for Taylor Swift and the Jonas Brothers—anything that made his daughters laugh and sing along.
Above all, Shawn will be remembered as a man of faith, love, and quiet strength. A devoted father, a cherished grandfather, a faithful godfather, and a friend to many; his life was a testament to serving others with humility and heart.
Shawn Michael Armstrong will be deeply missed and forever loved, until the day his family is reunited with him in God’s eternal glory.
