With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sandra “Sandy” Seay Henley, a beloved mother, grandmother, wife, daughter, friend, and devoted animal lover. Sandy passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026, at the age of 79.
Sandy was born on June 23, 1946, in Duluth, Georgia, to Henry and Ruth Seay. She lived a life marked by intelligence, strength, kindness, and unwavering love for those closest to her. She had a vibrant spirit, a generous heart, and a way of making those around her feel cared for and loved.
A proud graduate of the University of Georgia, Sandy earned her degree in Mathematics and carried a lifelong love for her alma mater. She remained a loyal supporter of the Georgia Bulldogs throughout her life. Sandy went on to build a successful career as an Area Manager - Network Design Engineer with Southwestern Bell / AT&T. Her dedication, work ethic, and intelligence made a lasting impact in the telecommunications industry until her retirement.
Sandy also had a deep and tender love for animals, especially her cherished bulldogs. Her compassion for dogs led her to become involved with Lone Star Bulldog Rescue, where she joined others in helping bulldogs find safe, loving homes.
Above all, Sandy treasured her family. She is survived by her twin children - daughter, Tatum Hunter, and her husband, Thomas; her son, Chad Henley, and his wife, Christina; and her beloved grandchildren, Cade Hunter, Trent Henley, and Cassidi Henley. Each of them held a special place in her heart.
Sandy was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Tate Henley, and her parents, Henry and Ruth Seay. Her memory will live on through the love she gave so freely, the lives she touched, and the countless friends and family members who were blessed to know her.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Wade Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Wade Funeral Home, with a graveside service to follow at Moore Memorial Gardens.
All who knew and loved Sandy are invited to join her family in honoring her beautiful life and the lasting mark she left on our hearts.
Sandy will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, strength, compassion, and devotion will continue to shine through all who were fortunate enough to know her.
