Ronald Wayne Underwood

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald Wayne Underwood, age 76, who departed this world on December 16, 2025. Ronald was born on May 17, 1949, in Oakland, California, to his loving parents, Calvin and Bobbie Underwood. He lived a life filled with devotion, courage, and integrity that touched all who knew him. Ronald proudly served in the United States Navy, where he dedicated himself to his country with unwavering commitment, retiring after 23 years. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother who deeply valued family and loyalty. He will be remembered for his strength, dedication, and the love he had for his family.

Visitation will be Monday, December 22, 2025 from 4-8pm at Wade Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas. A burial service will be held in his honor on December 23, 2025, at 9:15 AM at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. Family and friends are invited to gather together to celebrate Ronald’s life, share stories, and pay their final respects.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Dorotea Underwood; his sons: Joe Underwood (wife Sarah, daughter Kai), Jessie Underwood (son Javoni), Jason Underwood, Jerry Underwood (wife Holly, children Sofia, Levi, and Jaxi), Jimmy Fulleros (wife Mizchelle, children Kaylie, Lexi, Jonas, and Dominic), and John Gregory. His sister, Barbara Lowe, and her children, Deelynn and Bobby, and many more extended family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of love and family that will continue to inspire those he touched.
