Robert Eugene Clark, lovingly known as Bob, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 30, 2026, in Arlington, Texas, at the age of 91.
Bob was born on October 21, 1935, in Corsicana, Texas, to T.D. and Josie Clark. He attended Corsicana public schools and graduated from Corsicana High School in 1954, where he served as President of his senior class. His leadership and love of friendships continued throughout his life.
Following high school, Bob attended Navarro Junior College on a football scholarship, where he served as Class President and was named Class Favorite. He later continued his education at Dallas Baptist University, earning a degree in Career Arts in 1982.
Bob proudly served his country in the United States Army, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. He went on to enjoy a long and dedicated career at Vought Aircraft, where he worked as a Manufacturing Engineer for 42½ years before retiring.
One of Bob's greatest joys was staying connected with the friends and classmates he had known since his school days. For an incredible 72 years, he planned his high school reunions and made it a priority to keep in touch with his classmates. His commitment to those lifelong friendships was a true reflection of the importance he placed on people and relationships.
Bob was an active member of First Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas. He was also involved with the Arlington Senior Men's Golf Club, served as a board member of the YMCA, and was a member of the Vought Retirees Club. He valued his friendships, community involvement, and the many relationships he built throughout his life.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, T.D. and Josie Clark; his brothers, Ed, Wayne, and Dan Clark; his sister, Jorene Clark; and his stepson, Kyle Harris.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jane Clark; his sons, Craig Clark and wife Kelli, and Cary Clark and wife Kimberly; his stepdaughter, Erin Pokrifcsak and husband Jeff; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward his legacy.
Bob will be remembered for his dedication, leadership, loyalty, and the lifelong friendships he cherished. His life was one of commitment-to his country, his career, his church, his family, and the many friends who were fortunate enough to know him. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a legacy that will live on through the generations of family and friends who loved him.
Bob requested that his service be a celebration of his life rather than a time of sadness. He would want family and friends to come together, share stories, reminisce about the good times, and enjoy plenty of laughter. He believed in the importance of friendships and making memories, and he would want those gathered to remember the happiness, laughter, and special moments they shared with him. In true Bob fashion, he would much rather hear stories and laughter than tears.
In lieu of flowers, Bob requested that memorial donations be made to Mission Arlington.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
