Rita Bernadine Brown departed this life on Sunday, September 29th, 2024 at the age of 80. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and tremendous friend to many and she will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
She was born to the late Daniel Gray Jr. and Bernadine Virginia Cooper Winters in New Orleans, Louisiana on July 14th, 1944.
She accepted Christ as her Saviour and was baptized at Asia Baptist Church in New Orleans, La and joined Mount Olive Baptist Church when she moved to Arlington, TX.
She retired from the LePavillion Hotel and moved to Texas to be near her family.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her five children: Alonzo Carter(Sylvia) of New Orleans, La, Ora Wells(Wesley) of Fort Worth, TX, Chester Joseph Brown Jr. of New Orleans, La,(Anissa) of Arlington, TX, Letishia Daniels(Artry) of Fort Worth, TX and Tangela Brown of Arlington, TX;
Ten Step-Children: Natalie August, Gala Brown, Micheal Brown, Juan George and Carla Brown of La, Crystal Moore of MS., Chester Joseph Brown Jr. of KY, Sabrina Thompson of La, Nicole Stukes of La. and Alaysia Brown of TX, followed by 11 grandkids, 17 step-grandkids, 12 great grandkids and 13 step great-grandkids; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Gray Jr., her mother Bernadine Virginia Cooper Winters, her husband Clarence Brown Jr. and her uncle James Cooper.
