Arlington, TX – Reggie McNamara, 86, Passed from this life on March 29, 2026 following a brief illness. He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on August 15, 1939 to Thomas and Margaret McNamara. Reggie was the youngest of five siblings; Frances, Mike, Patty and Mary Ann. After graduating high school, he attended Oklahoma State University and University of Missouri before beginning his career in the airline industry with TWA. Reggie later went to work for Braniff International and was transferred to Arlington, TX in 1974. He ended his career retiring from American Airlines.
Reggie saw Sue at a friend’s party and capturing his attention, he asked their friend to be introduced. On June 9, 1967 Reggie and Sue were married and they celebrated 58 years of marriage this past June. Reggie was predeceased by wife, Sue, his parents Thomas and Margaret, his siblings, Frances, Mike, Patty, and Mary Ann and his grand-daughter Stephanie McNamara Kent.
Reggie is survived by his sons Brian McNamara (Pam) of Yulee, FL and Shawn McNamara of Arlington, TX, his grand-daughter, Nicole Locke and four great grandchildren, Alivia McNamara, Kirsten Wallace, Zaden Kent & Grayson Kent, and many nieces and nephews.
Reggie took pride in meticulously maintaining his yard to perfection, telling "dad jokes" and enjoyed looking for “treasures” at local bargain stores.
A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Saturday 04/25/2026 at Wade Funeral Home (4140 W Pioneer Pkwy, Arlington, Texas 76013).
