Raymond Medina Ruiz

Raymond Medina Ruiz passed away peacefully on Friday, June 20, 2025, at the age of 66.

He was born in Kingsville, Texas on October 13, 1958, to Ramon and Minerva Ruiz.

Ray attended and graduated from Nimitz High School, Irving, Tx and University of Arkansas. Upon moving to Arlington 29 years ago, he was a teacher and a coach at Workman Jr High School. He loved kids and teaching was his passion as well coaching.

He met his princess and wife, Paula Borgert – Ruiz when she moved to Texas. The two were married in 1999 Pompano Beach, Florida.

He loved and spoiled his family especially all the kids - sons, nieces and nephews.

He will forever be missed by his family and friends who loved him dearly.

Service is scheduled  at 2 p.m. on June 30th at Wade Funeral Home.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents Ramon and Minerva Ruiz and his nephew Evan Walden. Survivors: wife Paula Ruiz, son Daniel Ruiz, wife Lindy Cruce Ruiz, granddaughters Dany and Lavendar and his son Patrick Ruiz. Twin sister Rosanne Ruiz Schwartz and sister Rhonda Walden and husband John Walden. Nieces and nephews - Jena Hoile, spouse Clint Hoile, Jackie King, spouse Stewart King, Jacob Schwartz, spouse Liz Schwartz and John Walden 4.
