Raymond Guest Bodenhamer

Raymond Guest Bodenhamer, 72, passed away on June 11, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Ray was born on September 12, 1953, in Arlington, Texas, to Gwen and Dick Bodenhamer, who preceded him in death.

After graduating from Arlington High School, Ray served his country in the United States Army, where he attained the rank of Sergeant First Class. During his military career, he was awarded the Army Commendation Medal and the Army Achievement Medal in recognition of his service and dedication. Following his honorable discharge, Ray began a career with the United States Postal Service and ultimately received a Service Award recognizing 40 years of service to the United States Government.

Ray is survived by his brother, Don Bodenhamer and wife Sandra of Colleyville, Tx; sister, Mary Bodenhamer of Houston, Tx; nephew, Darren Bodenhamer; nieces, Madelyn Barton and husband Brandon of Hurst, Tx, and Meredith Walmsley and husband Brandon of Arlington, Tx; great-nieces, Poppy Barton and Margaret Barton both of Hurst, Tx, and Foster Walmsley of Arlington, Tx; and great-nephew, Fitzgerald Barton of Hurst, Tx.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, Texas 76013. Ray will be interred at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ray's memory to the SPCA of Texas.
