Pilar Gonzales Dela Cueva

Pilar Gonzales Dela Cueva, age 88, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on October 5, 2025, at Medical City Arlington.

She was born on October 12, 1936, in Tanauan, Batangas, Philippines, to Maximo Gonzales and Justina Quiatchon. Pilar married Simplicio Dela Cueva on July 16, 1956, and together they were blessed with thirteen children: Juliet, Erlinda, Romeo, Rizaldo, Elizabeth, Ped Allan, Judy, June, Essa, Riva, Jomar, Jemel, and Jennifer.

In pursuit of a better life for her family, Pilar immigrated to the United States on November 28, 1999. She lived in California before later settling in Texas, where she continued to share her warmth, love, and generosity with all who knew her.

Pilar is survived by her devoted husband, Simplicio; her siblings Tomas Gonzales and Gloria Dimaculangan; twelve of her children; and thirty-three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three siblings, Nene De Guzman, Genubeva Gonzales, and Loreto Cabral; and her beloved eldest daughter, Juliet.
