Patricia Ann Wilkes

Patricia “Pat” Ann Wilkes, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will remain with her family for generations to come.

Patricia was born on December 15, 1935, in Newton, Kansas, to Richard and Effie Euliss, who preceded her in death. She was raised with strong family values and developed a caring and devoted nature that would remain a defining part of her life.

Patricia graduated from high school in Artesia, New Mexico, and later attended West Texas State College in Canyon, Texas. Throughout her life, she held various jobs while also embracing the important role of homemaker. She devoted much of her time and energy to caring for her family, creating a loving home, and being present for the people she loved.

Patricia shared many years of marriage with her beloved husband, Robert “Don” Wilkes. Pat and Don lived in San Angelo, Texas, for 26 years and attended Glen Meadows Baptist Church for several of those years. Together, they built a family and created countless memories that would become treasured throughout the years. Following Don’s passing in 2018, Patricia moved to Arlington and later to Mansfield so she could remain close to her family.

Patricia was a devoted mother to Debbie Hunter, Stacy (Larry) Christian, and Tracy (Karan) Wilkes. Her family continued to grow through the years, and she was blessed with nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her tremendous joy and pride. She especially treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren and loved making memories with them. One of their special traditions was going on “grandma walks” together, simple moments that became cherished memories for her family.

Patricia was also an excellent seamstress who took great pride in sewing beautiful outfits for herself and her children. She loved to read and enjoyed the simple pleasures of spending time with the people she loved most. Those who knew Pat will also remember her quick wit and playful sense of humor. She was never far from a witty remark or a playful comment, bringing laughter and personality to the moments she shared with others.

Above all, Patricia’s greatest joy was her family. She gave them her love, her time, her talents, and countless memories that will continue to bring comfort in the years ahead.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Effie Euliss; her beloved husband, Robert “Don” Wilkes; and her sister, Wilda Ratliff.

Those who knew and loved Pat will remember her for her devotion to her family, her generous spirit, her creativity, her love of reading, and her quick and playful sense of humor. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all those who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

A viewing will be held on Monday, September 21, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wade Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens in San Angelo, Texas.
