With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear Pamela Kay McCall Ammerman on the morning of February 5, 2025. She was born January 4, 1959, in Buckeye, Arizona to Douglas and Valdeen (Damron) McCall. The family left Arizona to move to Grand Prairie, TX where Pam spent the majority of her youth they moved to Arlington, TX for her final years of high school.
Pam was a beloved spouse, cherished mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was a beautician and stay at home mom before going to work for Northwest ISD. She worked nearly 10 years at Haslet Elementary School as the Campus Secretary where she made lifelong friends.
After moving to South Carolina in 1998 she met and married husband Dave Ammerman in 2000. They lived in South Carolina before embarking on a journey that led them to Boston and Ohio before returning to Texas. She worked the past 19 years for Atmos Energy as an Operations Assistant recently at the Dallas Service Center, Irving Service Center and most recent at the Arlington Service Center. She loved her Atmos family and they loved her. She was instrumental in bringing wellness to the forefront of the West Region for Atmos Energy. Serving as the Wellness Champion for several years. Being the Wellness Champion was one of the highlights of her career. She loved bringing information on health and wellness in all areas of life to her coworkers and hoped she was making a difference.
Pam was full of kindness and was selfless in all areas of her life, always thinking of others and how she could help lighten their load. Her quiet demeanor and humility made her well loved everywhere. Pam will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her spirit will continue to inspire and guide those who loved her.
Pam was preceded in death by her mother Nannie Valdeen McCall. She leaves behind her husband, Dave Ammerman of Arlington, TX, two amazing sons, Daniel Creekmore (Spouse Sarah) of Nokesville, VA and Chris Creekmore (Spouse Samantha) of Arcadia, FL and three beautiful grandchildren JAC, Maddox, and Michael. She is also survived by her dad Doug McCall, a retiree from Lone Star Gas, and two sisters, Susan Ferrence (spouse Jeff) of Hartwell, GA and Thelma Graves (spouse Kurt) of Rhome, TX and nieces and nephews, Valarie, Taylor, Ethan and Emma and great nieces and nephews Alyssa, Khloe, Aiden, Adalyn, Dominic, Birkleigh and Cooper.
Pam was very proud of her children and their families and especially loved being a Grannie to her grandchildren who she adored.
The family is planning a Celebration of Life for Pam and details are forthcoming. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The American Heart Association, Alzheimer’s Association or another organization of your preference.
