Myron Paul Bergen

Myron Paul Bergen was born on July 7, 1963, in Weatherford, OK, to Robert “Zane” and VerNell (Kissler) Bergen and passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, in Arlington, TX. Myron became a Christian at a young age and graduated from Weatherford High School in 1981. He then graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.

Following graduation, Myron moved to Arlington, TX, to begin his pharmacy career, working for many years at Medco Health Solutions. He took pride in his work making a difference in patients’ lives.

After a spectacular proposal at the OU-Texas football game in 1993, Myron married the love of his life, Kimberly Newman, on May 7, 1994. Myron’s world revolved around family. He was known as “Coach My” while he coached and supported his two boys in every sport. He had a deep desire to be the best husband, father, and grandfather possible. His 8-month-old granddaughter, Lena, was his pride and joy. Myron was a kind and gentle soul. He never met a stranger and loved to help others.

Myron is survived by his wife of 30 years, Kimberly, two sons, Zachary (Sarah) Bergen of Coweta, OK, and Zane Bergen of Arlington, and granddaughter, Lena Louise Bergen. Also, two brothers, Mark (Jan) Bergen of Arlington and Brent (Sarah) Bergen of Kennedale, one aunt, Mary Bergen of Edmond, OK, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister, Julie Ann Bergen.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to Sweet Grace Ministries, who offers resources to families enduring ectopic pregnancies, miscarriage, stillbirth, life-limiting diagnoses, and infant death.
