ARLINGTON -- Michael David Lippencott, 65, loving father and grandfather, passed away Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, surrounded by his family in Arlington.
Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Wade Family Funeral Home Chapel, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment: 12:30 p.m. in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Wade Family Funeral Home.
Memorials: Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of one's choice.
Michael was born March 17, 1946, in Marrietta, Ohio, to Emmett Lippencott and Myrtle Patterson Lippencott. A resident of Arlington since 1978, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a great cook, loved to garden, and was proud of his blackberries.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Emmett Lippencott; sons, Chuck Lippencott and Michael Lippencott Jr.; brother, Jerry B. Lippencott; and sister, Dolly Fowler.
Survivors: Mother, Myrtle Lippencott; partner of 30 years, David Stokan; son, Jerry Lippencott and wife, Victoria; brother, George Lippencott and wife, Betty; sister, Glenda Crabtree and husband, Ed; grandchildren, Michael, Erica, Tori, Kayla, Amiee, Kristina and Josh Lippencott; great-grandchildren, Austin Lippencott, Blayden O'Neal; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
