Mavis "Rusty" Jean Nawrocki

Mavis "Rusty" Jean Nawrocki, 75, of Arlington, Texas, peacefully left this world on August 6, 2026. Although there is grief, her family rejoices in her homecoming. Born on September 28, 1950, in Fairmont, Minnesota, Rusty’s spunky personality and genuine care for her family and friends will be missed.

Rusty married her devoted husband, Joseph W. Nawrocki, and together they forged a beautiful life over 57 years of marriage. As a dedicated homemaker, she cherished the role of mother to her four children, raising the kids with determination and the help of Jesus . Her pride in her family was evident in every moment they shared, from joyous family reunions to quiet afternoons at home.

After attending Southwest Minnesota Vocational School, Rusty briefly worked as a secretary before embracing her true passion of being a wife and mother. Her thirst for knowledge led her to learn Spanish, a testament to her adventurous spirit and dedication to her family. Her talents also shone brightly in the kitchen, where she delighted everyone with her award-winning candy bar cheesecake, taking home first place among a competitive field of over 100 participants.Her joy in hobbies showed through with not just her baking skills, but also in her sewing, reading, crafting, and worshiping.

She leaves behind a loving legacy through her loving husband, Joseph Nawrocki; children, Nichole Renae Wise (Cory), Nissa Camille Floyd (Randy), Neil Nathan Nawrocki (Josie), and Natalie Ann McKittrick (Brian); grandchildren, Michael Wise (Moriah), Jordan Wise (Amber), Andrew Wise (Abby), Sophia Wise (John), Carolyn Floyd, Elizabeth Floyd, Alyssa Floyd, William Nawrocki, Margaret Nawrocki, Helen Saunders, and Mason McKittrick; and her great-grandchildren, Kason, Brackston, Gracelyn, Ella, Callum, Teagan, Isla, and Ruby. Rusty also cherished her siblings, Terry, Dennis, Vickie, John, Rick, and Michelle, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her extended family and friends.

Rusty is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Irvin and Georgette Cottew, and her dear brother, Lynn Cottew.

To celebrate her life and the joy she brought to all, we invite friends and family to join us for Visitation at Wade Funeral Home on Friday, August 14, 2026 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Funeral Service will be Saturday, August 15, 2026 at Wade Funeral Home at 10:00 AM.
