Mavane Schroyer, 96, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025. She was born on December 9, 1928, in Hollis, Oklahoma, to Queen and Charles Thompson.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Town Village Crossing, 1250 W. Pioneer Pkwy., Arlington, Texas 76013.
Mavane married the love of her life, Lester E. Schroyer, and together they built a family grounded in faith, warmth, and dedication. She is survived by her children, Priscilla Shaffer and husband David, Leslie Jean and husband Bobby, and Joel Schroyer. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren—Jason, Brandon, Christian, Matthew, Shawnna, Kevin, Alicia, and Jenna—each of whom brought her immense joy.
A graduate of Hollis High School, Mavane worked as a secretary before retiring, but her truest calling was creating a loving home. She was a talented homemaker and a gifted seamstress, known for her careful hands and generous heart. A devoted member of Parkview Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas, she lived her faith quietly and sincerely, offering kindness to everyone she met.
Mavane was always smiling, a gentle presence who never spoke a harsh word about anyone. Her grace, optimism, and unwavering compassion made her a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, and her memory will remain a blessing forever.
