Maryann Davis

Maryann Davis, 71, passed away in Arlington, Texas. She was born on November 29, 1954, in Ralls, Texas, to Maria (Diaz) and Pedro Resendez.

The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm on Monday, April 13, 2026, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Pkwy., Arlington, Texas. A funeral mass will be held at 11am on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 1200 S. Davis St., Arlington, Texas 76013. She will be laid to rest following the mass at Greenwood Cemetery, Fort Worth, Texas.

Maryann spent her early years in Ralls and attended Ralls High School before graduating from Big Spring High School. She continued her education at Howard College and furthered her studies at Texas Tech, reflecting her lifelong commitment to learning and personal growth.

She dedicated many years of her professional life as a word processor at Akin Gump Hauer Strauss and Feld Law Firm in Dallas, Texas, where she was known for her loyalty, diligence, and strong work ethic. Most recently, she was working at Vinson & Elkins LLP Law Firm, continuing to demonstrate the same dedication and pride in her work. Her colleagues appreciated her reliability and the care she brought to her profession.

Maryann is survived by her husband, T. Cullen Davis; daughter, Liz Lajqi; grandson, Edwin Tyrell; sisters, Mercedes Diaz and Margaret Cervantes. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Maria Resendez; brothers, Felix Resendez, Albert Resendez, and Marcario Resendez.

Maryann will be remembered for her dedication to her career, her perseverance, and the quiet strength she carried throughout her life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
