Mary Alice Lewis, born March 20, 1942, in New Roads, Louisiana, passed away peacefully, leaving a legacy of love, devotion, and family.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Alice Lewis and her son Kip Lewis. She will be deeply missed by her devoted partner, Joseph Collar, who stood by her side with unwavering love and companionship.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Patricia Lewis, Steve Lewis, Judy Brown, and Kim Lewis; and by her grandchildren: Ramon Lewis, Steve Lewis Jr., Jamonique Gardner, Patrick Lewis, Glennesha Co, and Jamie Bah.
Mary was also blessed with a large, loving family, including six sisters and two brothers, who shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, and support.
A dedicated homemaker, Mary was known as the “best mom in the world.” She had a gift for turning a house into a home, filling it with warmth, comfort, and the aroma of her cooking. She loved preparing meals and sharing them, showing her care through food, kindness, and generosity. With family and friends alike, Mary made everyone feel welcome, valued, and loved.
Her life reflected unconditional love, quiet strength, and selfless devotion. She will be remembered not only for what she did, but for how deeply she loved.
Mary Alice Lewis’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
