Marilyn L. Carron, aged 83, passed away on August 22, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born on July 8, 1942, in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri to Harry and Melvina Hutson. She was the youngest of 10 kids and was an aunt from the moment she was born. Her father was in the Navy and then a riverboat captain on the Mississippi River and died when she was a young teenager, so her childhood was mainly spent with her mother, grandparents and older brothers who doted on her.
She and the love of her life, Ron, married in 1963 and moved away from Ste. Genevieve when his work took them first to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and then to Fort Worth. While raising her children, she was very active in the St. Andrew Catholic school and church community. She also worked as a part time office manager for many years for Goldman & Associates.
She enjoyed bowling and golf and took up soccer when she and Ron were part of the group that started the youth soccer league in Fort Worth. After her kids were grown, she joined multiple bridge groups and played several days a week for many years.
Marilyn loved to entertain and was especially wonderful at hosting events for the family as it grew. She loved time with all of the grandkids and never missed a chance to play cards or charades with them.
She converted to Catholicism when she married Ron and was very active in the faith. Over the years, they volunteered to put on the Youth 2000 retreat and enjoyed many pilgrimages. She often attended daily Mass and Adoration and found great comfort in her relationship with the Blessed Mother and was always talking to Jesus.
She is survived by her children, Leslie Heidt (Doug), Gina Emrich (Rob), and Dale Carron (Michele), as well as her 12 grandchildren Katherine Heidt (Campo), Jenny O’Quinn (Nathan), Mary Heidt, Mac Emrich (Emily), Gracie Emrich, Sarah Heidt, Rachel Brown (Peter), Charlie Heidt, Annie Emrich, Drew Emrich, Hunter Carron, Leah Heidt and two great-grandsons, George Emrich and Lewis Brown. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Ronald Carron, her parents, Melvina and Harry Hutson, and her siblings, Harry Hutson Jr, Tom Hutson, Lloyd Hutson, Donald Barry Hutson, Ralph Hutson, Wayne Hutson, Uel Hutson, Dalores Hutson and Melvadine Buckholtz.
A mass of Christian burial to honor Marilyn’s life will be held at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church in Arlington at 10am on Friday, August 29th with visitation the evening before from 6 to 8pm at Wade Funeral Home in Arlington.
In lieu of flowers family has requested that donations be made to The St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church in Arlington, Texas.
