Obituary

Marianne Elaine Bowles, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026, in Arlington, Texas, at the age of 74. She was born on April 22, 1951, in Dallas, Texas, to Ernest Gray and Martha Steele.

Marianne lived a life rooted in love, resilience, and quiet devotion to those around her. She was preceded in death by her cherished husband, George Darrell Bowles, who passed on May 21, 2021, as well as her brother, Russell Gray, and her grandson, Matthew Ford.

She is survived by her loving children, Georganne Bowles and Michael Bowles, and his wife Lena, who carry forward her strength and kindness. Marianne’s greatest joy in life was her grandchildren—Matthew, Ethan, George Parker, and Claire Bowles—who were the light of her life and some of her proudest accomplishments.

Marianne received her education from West Seattle High School and later earned her associate’s degree from Tarrant County Community College. She dedicated more than 30 years of her career to Applied Avionics, where she was known for her dedication, work ethic, and warm spirit. She retired in 2021, leaving behind a legacy of commitment and friendship among her colleagues.

Outside of her work, Marianne found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She loved fishing, creating beautiful pieces through crochet, and baking treats that brought comfort and smiles to her family. Her home was always a place of warmth, where laughter and love were shared freely.

Marianne will be remembered for her gentle heart, her unwavering love for her family, and the quiet strength with which she lived her life. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, kindness, and cherished memories that will live on in all who knew her.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
