Marcus “Marc” Stanley Nogic passed away on January 17, 2026, in Arlington Texas. Graveside Service will be Friday, March 6, 2026, from 10:15-11:15 am Central Time, at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, 75211.
Marc is survived by his sons, Travis Nogic and wife, Melissa; Ross Nogic and wife, Emilia; sister, Adrienne and husband, Joe; brother, Joel and wife, Hannah; grandchildren Connor, Alexyss, Harper, Debbie; and 10 nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his former wife (and mother of Travis and Ross), Debra; mother, Betty; father, Norman; and brother, Chris.
Marc was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on September 15, 1949, the third of four children. After about a year in nearby Middle River, he grew up in Kingsville, Maryland, a rural area near Baltimore.
Some of Marc’s lifelong traits and skills started when he was young. He liked to have fun, joke, and laugh with family and friends. He was a very good athlete, playing baseball, basketball and football. He first developed his ability to work with his hands and tools through many family projects in the house and yard. Soon after he got his driver’s license, he bought his first car, using money he had earned from summer and weekend jobs. He quickly became very skilled at maintaining and repairing his car.
After graduating from high school in 1967, Marc enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served for four years, including one year in Vietnam. He was an aircraft mechanic and rigger, including for rescue equipment on airplanes and helicopters. He reached the rank of Sergeant, and left with an honorable discharge.
For the last part of his service, Marc was stationed at Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene, Texas. He settled in Texas, and married Debra Foster in 1982. Travis was born in 1984 and Ross in 1990.
In his work life, Marc was licensed to operate any size truck, including tractor-trailers, and he was trained to operate a variety of booms, lifts, ditchers, skid-loaders, and other equipment. He also built, upgraded, repaired and maintained electric substations. And, he worked for about two decades as an OSHA certified overhead hoist and crane technician.
Marc will be very much missed by many in his family and community.
