Khamphone was a man of deep character-humble, courageous, honorable, loyal, and endlessly resilient. He lived with quiet strength and persistent ambition, always to forge his own path as a do-it-yourself man. His greatest passion was providing for his family, making sure they were safe, secure, and cared for no matter what the cost. He also held a strong sense of responsibility to help others, often extending his hand to his community in quiet but meaningful ways.
Among his greatest achievements was his courageous escape from the war-torn Laos, arriving in America in 1981 as a refugee alongside his wife & two daughters. Against all odds, he built a new life from the ground up. Rooted in hard work, sacrifice, and unshakable belief in a better future for his family.
KP loved everyone and everyone loved him.
He treated others with consideration valuing their feelings and opinions, even if they differ.
Life Journey:
In 1981,Khamphone arrived in America as a refugee alongside his wife and my two daughters, seeking a better life. Their journey began in Washington, but it was Texas where they planted their roots and built their future. Their son Benson was born in Dallas in 1984. Over the years, they moved through Dallas, Irving, and Duncanville before finally settling in Venus, Texas in 1993-a place that would become our family’s true home.
Notable Career Highlights:
KP was truly a one-man-show, resourceful, driven and self-reliant. Seeking a need in the Laotian community, he stepped up and took it upon himself to serve. He led with action, building a successful business renting tables, tents, and chairs to support local families, temples and events throughout DFW area and even went as far as Wichita, Kansas. His work wasn’t just business-it was uniting his community, one event at a time.
