Karen was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Buster Faulkenberry, who passed away in 2015. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, and service, teaching Sunday school and remaining active members of Fielder Church for many years.
A loving and dedicated mother, Karen is survived by her son, Jason Faulkenberry, and his wife Ashley, who reside in China, and her daughter Jennifer Faulkenberry, and her husband Matthew Martinez, of Arlington, Texas. She was the proud and joyful grandmother to Emma Faulkenberry, Jason Cole Martinez, Lola Martinez, Nora Martinez, and Hank Faulkenberry, who were truly the loves of her life.

She earned a bachelor's degree in accounting and enjoyed a successful career spanning over five decades as a controller in the automotive industry. Karen was a licensed CPA and a proud member of the Texas Society of Public Accountants. Her professional excellence was matched by her generous spirit.
A woman of deep faith, Karen's life was grounded in her love for Jesus. She was an active member of Bible Study Fellowship (BSF), serving as a children’s leader, and was also a faithful sponsor through Compassion International. She dedicated her time to causes close to her heart, including Habitat for Humanity and Samaritan’s Purse.
Karen was known for her loyalty, humility, and unwavering devotion to others. She made it her mission to keep her family—near and far—connected and cherished. Her servant heart, compassionate nature, and joyful spirit touched everyone who knew her. She also loved to travel, always embracing new places and people with curiosity and gratitude.
Karen Diane Faulkenberry’s legacy of faith, family, and service will continue to live on through those she loved so deeply.
