It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt love that we announce the passing of Karen Lynn Aguirre, age 57, of Arlington, Texas. Karen passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025, surrounded by her devoted family.
As a lifelong Arlington resident, Karen was born and raised in the community that remained close to her heart. She attended Blanton Elementary, Carter Junior High, and graduated from Arlington High School before continuing her education at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). As a proud Texan through and through, Karen’s roots run deep in the place she called home.
Karen was known for her vibrant personality, strong will, and the joy she brought into every room. She lived boldly and unapologetically, embracing life’s adventures with spirit and heart. A Harley-Davidson enthusiast, she found freedom on the open road and joy in the simple pleasures—watching her favorite movies like Dirty Dancing and Urban Cowboy, savoring ice cream from Dairy Queen on Valentine’s Day, and preparing her beloved cornbread dressing each Thanksgiving. One of her favorite traditions was walking the neighborhood on New Year’s Eve, ringing in the new year with laughter and love.
As a woman of deep faith, Karen was a devoted Christian whose beliefs guided her through life’s challenges and triumphs. She considered her greatest achievement to be her family. She was a loving and fiercely proud mother to her daughters, Hailey and Kelsey, and a joyful “Lala” to her cherished granddaughter, Karsley, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond. From playing games and making silly videos to simply being present, Karen poured her heart into her family and treasured every moment.
Professionally, Karen found purpose and pride in her role as an Insurance Trainer for National Health and Health Markets, where her knowledge, patience, and encouragement left a lasting impact on her colleagues and trainees. She was admired for her dedication and her unwavering desire to see others succeed.
Karen is lovingly remembered by her daughter Hailey Aguirre (Matt), Arl, TX and daughter Kelsey Aguirre Arl, TX; her granddaughter, Karsley; her mother, Bobbie Murle Sullivan, Arl, TX; her sister, Vicky Colley (Mark), Lake Valley, TX, her brother, Ricky Sullivan (Michele), Iola, TX; a nephew, Dakota, and Nieces, Irelyn and Malayna , along with many more family members and close friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Lanoie, and her father, Louie Sullivan.
Karen’s legacy is one of love, strength, joy, and unforgettable presence. She leaves behind a full, well-lived life and many hearts that have been forever touched by her warmth.
May she rest in eternal peace.
