June J. Redmon, a beloved wife, mother, Grammy, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2024. Born in San Angelo, Texas, June brought warmth, kindness, and joy to all who knew her.
June shared 63 wonderful years of marriage with her devoted husband, John. Together, they built a life rich in love, laughter, and treasured memories.
June's servant heart was evident in her community service with First Methodist Church of Mansfield, Arlington Woman's Club, Wimbledon Garden Club, Women Inspiring Philanthropy, and volunteering. She also cherished the lasting friendships she made through her four bunco groups.
"Retirement" was never a word in June's vocabulary. If she wasn't walking her five miles a day, spending time with family and friends, or volunteering at church, she was working. Her remarkable career spanned over 60 years across diverse fields, including certified financial planning, entrepreneurship, and roles as a mortgage loan officer and broker. For the past 20 years, June found immense joy in helping people achieve their dream of homeownership, a passion she pursued with dedication and enthusiasm at Keller Williams in Arlington.
June is survived by her loving husband, John; her daughter Julie; her son Jay and his wife, Jacque. She also leaves behind her five adored grandchildren-Jordan, Zander and his wife, Erika, Jared and his wife, McKenly, Kaylee, and Jaycie and her great-granddaughter, Camila, all of whom will dearly miss their Grammy's love and wisdom.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Morgan and Alma Coy Jett along with her five siblings, Peggy Clark, Sue Brown, Gene, Edwin and Clifford Jett.
June's legacy of love, faith, and service will forever be treasured by all. A remarkable woman who loved her family and the Lord deeply, she departed this life with a peaceful smile, confident in her journey to be with Jesus. June will be profoundly missed, but her memory will remain a blessing to those who were touched by her kindness and devotion.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 4, at 10:00 a.m. at Wade Funeral Home. A private family burial will follow at Emerald Hills Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly invites you to honor June's memory by embracing what she cherished most: sharing a meal with a friend, surprising someone with a Starbucks card "just because, and continuing to spread kindness to others.
