Judith Kathlyn Foster

Beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Judith Kathlyn Foster, passed away peacefully April 15, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas surrounded by her family.

Judy was born on July 4, 1946, in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Drew and Ina Palmer. Her brother Randy was born in 1951 and the family soon moved to Arlington in 1956. Judy grew up in Arlington where she formed many lifelong friendships and graduated from Arlington High School. It was there she met her first husband, Barry Palmer. They were married in May 1966 and had two children, Christy and Scott.

Through Barry’s work, Judy and Barry traveled all over the world, sparking a lifelong love for travel. That love led Judy to open her own travel agency, Crossroads Travel, which she owned and operated for over 20 years in Arlington.

Through her work she later met and married her second love, Bill Foster, in 1996. In retirement, Judy and Bill moved to Florida, where they enjoyed time on the beach, gardening, cooking and gathering with friends. They especially loved spending time with their grandchildren, traveling with family and friends while creating many treasured memories. Judy found deep happiness in her remaining years surrounded by her children, grandchildren, Kathlyn and Reid, great granddaughter, Palmer, and dear friends.

The family would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to all the caregivers who so gently and graciously cared for Judy during these past years.

Survivors: Brother, Randy Palmer; daughter, Christy Risenhoover and her husband Chris; son, Scott Palmer; granddaughter Kathlyn Fergason and her husband Travis; grandson, Reid Risenhoover and his wife Grace; great granddaughter Palmer Fergason.

Funeral: The family will have a private burial service. A Celebration of Life service will be held on May 12, 2026, at 2:00pm at Wade Family Funeral Home in Arlington.
