ARLINGTON -- Johnny David Fisher, 69, passed away Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, in Arlington.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Thursday at Mayfield Road Baptist Church, 1701 E. Mayfield Road, Arlington, the Rev. Bobby Bridges officiating. Interment: Hawkins Cemetery, Arlington. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.
Memorials: Memorial gifts may be made to Gideons, Alzheimer's Association and the Arlington Animal Shelter.
Johnny was born July 25, 1942, in Ranger to John Frank Fisher and Arlona Coffman Fisher. He received a bachelor of science in industrial engineering from UTA and served six years in the Army National Guard. His career path included Justin Boot Co., Pangburn Candy, and Siemens. A member of Mayfield Road Baptist Church, he was a deacon and member of Gideons.
Johnny enjoyed the outdoors and fishing was his passion. The world has lost a most honorable man. The family will miss a loving husband, father and brother.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors: Wife, Katie Fisher; daughter, Gena Neidert and husband, John; son, David Fisher and wife, Rhonda; sister, Sheri Capehart and husband, Bruce; grandchildren, Erin and Benjamin Fisher, Julia and Jack Neidert; and extended family.
