Truman served his country with distinction in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a member of the 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment, the “Wolfhounds,” part of the 25th Infantry Division, known as “Tropical Lightning.” He carried out his service with strength and pride, earning the Bronze Star Medal with “V” device for Valor, the Army Commendation Medal, the Air Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with three campaign stars, and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with device bar.
Following his military service, Truman dedicated 38 years to LTV/Vought Corporation, where he earned the respect of his colleagues through his hard work, dependability, and integrity.
A devoted family man, Truman found joy in spending time with his loved ones and was a longtime member of Moose Lodge 1818 and VFW Post 8561. He was also a passionate barbecue enthusiast, always ready to bring people together over good food and good times.
