John Michael Perryman

John Michael Perryman (Mike) was born December 19, 1955 in Lincoln, Nebraska to John Keith and Shirley Ruth Perryman. The family moved to Austin, Texas in 1958 and then to Arlington, Texas in 1963.

As an 8-year-old, Mike helped build a new Adventist church on Pioneer Parkway. There was no Adventist church when the family moved to Arlington. So he became one of the original members of this church. Mike graduated from Southwestern Adventist College in 1976. He then went to medical school at Loma Linda in California. After graduating he decided he wanted to be a teacher (like his dad). He was recently honored for 30 years of teaching at Parker University in Dallas, Texas. Over the years, Mike was honored with several teaching awards voted on directly by the student body. Mike and his wife Rita met at a Home and School Function in 1983 at Burton Adventist Academy. Craig and Len Lastine invited Rita. Scott and Brett Perryman invited Mike. Mike and Rita married in 1985. The rest is history.

Mike is survived by his precious wife, Rita, son Bryan Christopher and wife Maria of Joshua, Texas, son Austin Michael of Fort Worth, Texas, daughter Lauren Krystene of Seattle, Washington, his mother Shirley Ruth Perryman, sister Terri J. Hansen and husband Chris, of Arlington, Texas, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

Mike is preceded in death by his dad, John Keith Perryman and his brother Richard Keith Perryman.
