It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of John Albert Hucks II, who left this life on July 22, 2025. Born on January 24, 1956, in Bethesda, Maryland, John was the beloved husband of Mari Hucks, the devoted father of Nicholas and Patrick, and a loyal friend to many.

John proudly served his country as a Major in the United States Marine Corps from January 1, 1975, to January 1, 1991. His distinguished military service was followed by a successful career as an electrical engineer, where his expertise and work ethic continued to shine. A lifelong learner, John’s academic achievements culminated in a Master’s Degree, reflecting his passion for knowledge and commitment to excellence.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Arlington Elks Lodge 2114, 601 W Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, Texas 76010. Family and friends are warmly invited to gather, share memories, and honor the remarkable life and legacy of a man who made a lasting impact on all who knew him.

John’s presence will be deeply missed, but the memories and love he leaves behind will forever remain in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.
