ARLINGTON -- John E. Cook, 78, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, in Arlington. Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials: May be made to the American Cancer Society, http://www.cancer.org/. John was born Nov. 1, 1934, to Jack D. and Rosa Krc Cook of Ballinger. John was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Kay Donna Cook, and his grandson, Chase Cook. Survivors: Son, Michael S. Cook and wife, Sue; daughters, Karyl Hiilsmeier and husband, Dennis, and Kathy Bennett and husband, Dayton; sister-in-law, Marrene Richardson; grandchildren, Channa, Misty, Lynnsey and Krystal; and six great-grandchildren.
