Jenola “Faye” Satterfield, beloved wife, mother, and artist, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 82. Born on January 1, 1943, in Marlow, Oklahoma, she was the cherished daughter of Warren G. and Frances O. Hall, who inspired a life filled with spirit and determination.
Faye graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Lawton, Oklahoma, and received a degree in Commercial Art from Oklahoma State Technical College in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. One of her earliest professional jobs was display design for Neiman Marcus. She later worked in graphic design for an art gallery, a publishing company, and an ad agency. She started numerous businesses and gave selflessly of her boundless energy as a worker and as a mother. She held her faith closely and was a member of the United Methodist Church.
For most of Faye's life, she was beauty-in-motion. In her youth, she loved drawing, fashion, roller-skating, and horseback riding. She grew into a passionate artist, painter, and Native American style potter. She combined her creativity with her love of fashion to become a talented seamstress. She continuously transformed her surroundings with a keen eye for design and decoration. She found particular joy in dancing and participated with Ron in multiple dance competitions. She enjoyed traveling and exploring the American Southwest that inspired her decor. She was always an avid reader, and as her mobility failed, you could find her with a book in her hands, and one of her pets at her side.
She will be profoundly missed by her devoted husband, Ronnie Satterfield, with whom she shared so many unforgettable adventures. Their bond is a tribute to enduring love.
Faye is also survived by her children: James Chapman and Michelle Niemczyk; her brother: Gary Hall; nephews: Jerry and Joshua Hall; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; friends; and family members who were touched by her kindness, laughter, and creative spirit.
