It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our dear friend and family member, Jay Orozco, who left us on May 2, 2025, just days shy of his 63rd birthday. Born on May 6, 1962, Jay was a self-taught guitar maestro who could pick up any note and play it like magic. He discovered his passion for music at the age of 13, and it became a lifelong love that brought joy not only to him but to everyone lucky enough to hear him play. Jay had a special talent for making people laugh. He was that friend who could brighten any room with his humor and charm, and many say he could have made a great comedian if he had chosen that path. His caring nature always put others before himself, and he spent his life looking after those he loved, which is just a testament to the generous spirit he had.
Jay is preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Judith Brown.
He is survived by his sister, Traci Hatley; daughter, Autumn Orozco; nieces, Mary Causey and Madison Wade; nephew, Mason Highfill; along with numerous friends who loved him dearly.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday May 15th from 6-8pm at Wade Family Funeral Home.
