Irma Suarez Perez, age 74, of Arlington, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2025, surrounded by the deep love of her family. Born on August 28, 1950, in Atoyac, Jalisco, Mexico, Irma brought warmth, joy, and kindness to everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Irma dedicated over 30 years of her life as a beloved cashier at Albertsons. Her friendly smile, generous spirit, and genuine care for people made every customer feel welcome and valued. She had a gift for connection, always ready with a kind word, a quick laugh, or a listening ear.
Irma found great joy in life’s simple pleasures: gardening, growing vibrant flowers especially her pink and coral double roses—tending to her fruit trees and vegetable garden, sharing a hot cup of morning coffee (always with two cookies), dancing to the Carpenters, and cooking for the people she loved. Her signature dishes—like Migas, “Grandma’s Tacos,” and white rice with kimchi—brought family together and passed down generations of flavor and love.
Family was at the heart of Irma’s world. She was a devoted wife, a proud mother, and a deeply affectionate grandmother. She adored spending time with her grandchildren, shopping and hosting family gatherings filled with music, laughter, and good food. Her beloved poodle, Molly, was never far from her side.
Irma always joked that she was antisocial, but anyone who knew her knew the truth — she could talk to anyone, anywhere, and make them feel like family. She was known for her generous heart, her humility, and her unwavering desire to help others. Whether sharing a bowl of pinto beans with cilantro and cheese, chatting with a stranger, or tending to her flowers, Irma brought warmth and connection to every moment. The scent of jasmine, the taste of her favorite foods, and the sight of blooming flowers will forever remind us of her loving presence.
She is survived by her loving husband, Zaragosa “Ziggy” Perez; her children, Rosalinda Treece and her husband Charles Treece, Edalia Perez and her husband Scott Kennedy, David Perez and his wife Susan Perez, and Velma Borchard and her husband Edward Borchard, and Richard Brossard; her sisters, Amelia Harris, Rita Renshaw, Lee Ataiiyan, and Maria Renshaw Hubbard; and her beloved grandchildren: Joel Isaiah Sierra, Ella Rose Treece, Lilly Ann Treece, Sean Borchard, Lauren Borchard, and Sophia Perez. She is also survived by countless relatives and dear friends who will carry her memory forward.
Irma Perez was preceded in death by her parents, Arturo Suarez and Rosa Garcia-Alvarez Renshaw, as well as her brother, Gabe Renshaw. Irma leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and compassion. Her family invites all who knew her to join in celebrating a life so beautifully lived and the precious memories she gifted to all.
