Heather Lynne Harrison, 37, of Arlington, Texas, passed away on May 14, 2025. She was born on September 29, 1987, in Arlington and spent her entire life in the community she loved, surrounded by family and friends who cherished her deeply.

Heather was a shining example of kindness, humor, strength, and selflessness. A faithful Christian, she lived a life devoted to helping others—especially children with autism. She earned a dual bachelor's degree in photojournalism and applied behavior analysis from the University of North Texas (UNT), as well as earning her master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from the University of Cincinnati. Her work as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) was not just a career but a calling, making a profound impact through her dedication and compassion.

She attended Temple Christian School and was a member of Rush Creek Church, where her faith remained a guiding light throughout her life. She had a deep love of music—especially Christian, Country, and Disney songs. Although, she never missed an opportunity to throw it back to some old school hip-hop. Her hobbies included reading, hunting for treasures at estate sales, and sharing laughter at family game nights. A true adventurer at heart, she traveled to many places, though Salem, Massachusetts and Ireland remained treasured dreams on her bucket list.

Heather was an enthusiastic fan of the Dallas Mavericks and Texas Rangers. She had a lifelong love for Halloween, scary movies, unicorns, and the magic of Christmas. She never missed a family gathering and cherished her role as Aunt “Hei Hei” to her beloved nieces and nephew.

She had deep bonds with family and many lifelong friends, including her two oldest and closest friends, Jenna Strickley and Kristi Mannon. She is survived by her loving mother, Deanna Nelson Harrison; her father, Michael Spears-Harrison (wife Kelli); her brother, William Parker Harrison (wife Jodi); nieces Avrey and Cora; and nephew Callen; as well as her loyal Australian cattle dog, Copper, who was her companion for 11 years; She also leaves behind her fiancé, William (Bill) Jones, who brought her immense joy and love. The two met just last year, and their connection was instant. Bill proposed on New Year’s Eve, fulfilling Heather’s dream of finding her soulmate.

Heather is also survived by her grandparents, Donald and Sheila Nelson, and Mary Harrison; her uncle Jeffrey Nelson and his sons Clayton (Taylor), Cody (Caitlyn) and Clark; her aunts and uncles Cathy Jones (Roger), Patricia Gieger and her daughters Alex and Autumn, Thomas Harrison (Jennifer) and his sons Caiden and Kent; stepsiblings Britni Morgan (Michael), Chandler Spears (Brooke), and Colby Spears (Shelby); and many friends, and coworkers she considered family.

Heather was preceded in death by her grandfather, Raymond Wallace Harrison.

Her love for the color purple, unicorns, her Army Green Nissan Frontier PRO-4X truck, and her vibrant spirit were unforgettable. Heather will be remembered as a brave, joyful soul whose legacy of love, laughter, and service will live on in all the lives she touched.
