Gayle Quinn Lacerda

March 30, 1948 — November 28, 2024

Arlington

A warm, kind, generous, humble, loving soul passed on to a much better world on her favorite day of the year Thanksgiving. She was surrounded by loving family members and Willie Nelson songs, her favorite, as she passed.

While Gayle exceptionally fulfilled many different jobs, the last being Deputy City Manager of Arlington, she most enjoyed spending time with her family, or quilting and being with members of the quilting community, or traveling/dancing with her adoring husband of 48 years, David, or quietly reading while listening to current news in the background. Gayle will be sadly missed by the many of us who got to know and love her.

Gayle Quinn Lacerda is survived·by daughters, Rhonda and Lisa with her husband, Tim, and David and Jennifer. Her granddaughters Lexie and Miranda will carry on her heritage, while grandchildren David Jr., Luke, and Addi will miss her. She is also survived by her older, Galvestonian brother Nelson and his family, Sally and Stephen.

There are so many friends like Shelly, Brenda, Kathy, Potsy and Linda that form the community of Gayle, and a multitude of caring doctors and nurses, that it is impossible to cover all who deserve thanks for their contribution to Gayle's journey. Nevertheless, thank you!

In lieu of flowers, please send contributions in her name to Mission Arlington.
