Frank Louis Alvarado Sr

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Frank Louis Alvarado Sr. on August 7, 2024 in Mansfield, Texas.

Frank was born in New Iberia, Louisiana on June 4, 1937 to Patrick Londean and Bernice Marie Gachassin Alvarado. After graduating from high school, Frank had a successful career as an International Sales Manager, spanning over 35 years with Halliburton (Otis Engineering). He started his career in New Iberia and later in Midland, Texas, London, England and the United Arab Emirates, leaving behind a lasting impact in his industry.

Frank was deeply passionate about his family and leaves behind a legacy of love and commitment. He was a devoted husband for 68 years to his high school sweetheart Sylvia Ann Broussard Alvarado and a cherished father to Francesca Thibodeaux (husband David), Frank Alvarado, Jr. (wife Amanda), Alison Mackey (husband Craig), Michael Alvarado (wife Joanna) and Monica Alvarado. He was also a very proud grandfather to 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Frank enjoyed visiting state parks, lakes, beaches and mountains on camping vacations with his young family. Frank, a naturalist at heart, discovered his passions for gardening, birding, nature photography, hunting, golfing, fishing and grilling for family. While abroad he traveled extensively for business and for pleasure to amazing destinations with Sylvia, who he affectionately referred to near the end of his life as My Angel.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents Patrick Londean and Bernice Marie Alvarado and his sister, Ramona Anderson. His legacy will live on through his surviving siblings, Patsy Lennie, Dolores Alvarado, and Jennifer Manuel as well as his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous friends.

A private funeral mass will be held for family on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 10:00am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 5819 W Pleasant Ridge Rd, Arlington, TX 76016. Father Paolo Puccini will be officiating.
