Ernest Otto Corella

Ernest Otto Corella, 91, of Arlington, Texas, passed away on June 11, 2026. Born on March 5, 1935, in Los Angeles, California, to Otto and Carrie Corella, Ernie lived a rich and full life that left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

A graduate of Los Angeles High School, Ernie exemplified a strong work ethic throughout his varied career. He held several positions, starting with a cannery packaging company and later starting his own gardening business, where he enjoyed the support of his wife. His love for people drew him to work at a local bowling alley, further igniting his passion for the sport. Ernie also spent years as a cab driver, navigating the streets of California before moving to Texas in 1998, where he took on a role at Walmart until his retirement in 2025.

A devout Catholic, Ernie was an active member of St. Maria Goretti Church, where his faith guided him and fostered community ties that enriched his life. Ernie had a zest for music and a fondness for collecting coins, hobbies that brought him joy and satisfaction.

He is survived by his son Reynald Corella and wife, Tamaki; his son Luis A. Corella and wife, Christina; his ex-wife, Maria R. Corella; and his beloved grandchildren, Izak, Ilene, Isabella, Juliana, and Valintina. Ernie also leaves behind many other cherished family members and friends who will remember him fondly.

Funeral services will be held at Wade Chapel, where a public viewing will take place onFriday, July 10, 2026, at 6:00 PM, allowing friends and family to gather in reflection and remembrance. The funeral service will follow on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM, celebrating his life and faith. Following the services, there will be a reception where you can share memories and visit with family and friends.
