Emma Laura Chapman

In Loving Memory of Emma Laura Chapman

Emma Laura Chapman, 86, of Arlington, Texas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 17, 2026. Born in Shawnee, Oklahoma, on April 29, 1940, she was the beloved daughter of Arthur Harlin and Nancy McDaniel.

Emma shared a beautiful life with her beloved husband, Lawrence “Larry” Ray Chapman, who preceded her in death on January 21, 2022. We find comfort in the hope of their heavenly reunion in the presence of the Lord. Her greatest earthly treasures were her children, Laura Shuffit and Chad Chapman, and the family she loved dearly. She is also remembered by her siblings Ann, Johnny, Gladys, Robert “Red,” and Bill.

Emma was a high school graduate who dedicated 35 years of faithful service to Southwestern Bell, later known as AT&T, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment throughout her career.

She had a wonderful appreciation for life’s simple pleasures, especially her love for Elvis Presley and Dr Pepper—little things that brought her joy and will forever bring smiles to those who remember her.

Though her passing leaves a deep sadness in the hearts of those who loved her, we take comfort in God’s promise of eternal life. As Scripture reminds us in 2 Timothy 4:7, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”

Emma’s life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and her love a legacy that will live on forever. May God bring comfort and peace to her family and friends as they celebrate her life and hold close the precious memories she leaves behind.

Rest peacefully, Emma. You are forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
